Catelli's

Invitation by Kathryn Murray Calligraphy

Geyserville, California, a teeny but picturesque town in Sonoma county is a living reminder of California's history with both the healing powers of hot water (geyser-ville) and wine. Centered in the middle of town is Catelli's, an institution since 1936. This delicious, farm fresh, Italian inspired restaurant serves both locals and tourists with their culinary fare. I have had the pleasure of eating there on more than one occasion, and I can hardly wait to return. Recently the restaurant has added to its offerings, by building a stunningly beautiful event space, designed by our friends Josh and Rafi of FORM. With the addition of the incredibly beautiful outdoor patio, this little (and fab) restaurant has elevated itself to a true destination. Proving that a wine country wedding doesn't have to be rustic.

Two weeks ago Cattelli's had their launch party for wedding planners and wedding professionals. What a treat to be a part of this! We sipped cocktails and champagne in the garden, tasted the appetizers and mingled to the dulcet sounds of a string quartet.

Then we made our way down to the exquisite patio. Black and white Italian marble floors added visual rhythm to the space, touched off by golden tablescapes and the setting Sonoma sun. One gets a little poetic about Sonoma (if you have been, you may agree). Six glasses per person set the scene for our four course menu, complete with locally sourced wine pairings.

After dinner and mingling with fellow wedding pros, we nibbled on sweet treats made by local bakery, Moustache, famous for their elevated version of an Oreo, the "Moustache-o."

All said, it was a beautiful California night. I can't wait to go back for the next fabulous party at Catelli's!
